In Rudolf Steiner Agriculture lectures, he talks about the importance of the cow horn to concentrating the forces from the earth and heavens into biodynamic spray preparations when they are made.

Horns are used to bury horn manure (500) in the fall and horn silica (501) in the spring. Preparations developed by practitioners from Steiner's original indications, sometimes use cow horns as well.
